What should I bring to a public range?
Your bow, arrows, an arm guard and finger tab, and water. Many ranges rent gear if you are not ready to buy.
How do I find a club near me?
Search for archery clubs or ranges in your area, or ask a local pro shop. Many run beginner nights.
What is a 3D shoot?
A walking course of life-size foam animal targets at unknown distances. It is great practice for hunting.
Do I need to join a club to use a range?
Not always. Many public ranges have day passes. Clubs add coaching, leagues and people to shoot with.
Is archery a good family activity?
Yes. Kids can start young with light bows, and many ranges run family and youth nights.
What do the whistle signals mean?
Two whistles: go to the line. One: shoot. Three: go score. Five or more: stop now.
How do I find people to shoot with?
Ask at a local pro shop, join a club league, or look for beginner nights at public ranges.
