SUNYA Archery Hip Quiver
TL;DRMy all-you-need range bag: arrows in three tubes, and pockets big enough for gloves, spares and my arm guard. It stays put on your hip. I’d buy it again; I just wish the logo were smaller.
What’s good
- Pockets hold everything I take to the range
- Three tubes keep arrows in order
- Really easy to wear, and it stays put
- Nothing broken since August 2024
What’s not
- Big logo
- Stuffing five arrows in one tube is too tight
- Right-hand only, per the listing
Arrows in one hand, bow in the other, glove in a pocket and the arm guard somewhere in the car. 😅 If that’s your range day, a hip quiver fixes it, and the SUNYA is the one I’d buy again.
I’ve worn it at the range since August 2024, with my arrows in three tubes and the rest of my range gear in its pockets, so you walk out with one thing on your belt and spend the session shooting. 👍
SUNYA hip quiver specs: 3 tubes, zip pockets and an adjustable belt
It’s a hip quiver with three 16.5″ arrow tubes, two zippered pockets and quick pockets on the outside. The listing says the three tubes hold 9–12 arrows.
It rides on an adjustable nylon belt, and the listing says it suits users from 10 years old. It’s sold as a right-hand quiver, so check the options if you shoot left-handed.
The listing also names room for a release, gloves, a wrist guard, Allen keys, wax, a pencil and score cards. It’s made of Oxford fabric, with a T-square ruler slot, a D-ring for an arrow puller and metal drain holes in the bottom.

How I pack a hip quiver for the range: one all-you-need bag
I really liked the little pocket it has. It’s big enough for pretty much everything I take to the range: my gloves, an extra pair of gloves, other accessories and even my arm guard.
I take a ton of arrows in it too. The tubes help more than I expected: I put my arrows in order of how I want to shoot them, then put the last one in one tube and the others in another.
NUSensei, the archery coach whose quiver video is further down this section, names the same benefit of a hip quiver:
Because you can see the arrows, if you are marking your arrows in any way, like numbering them and shooting them in a particular order, then you can actually see which arrows you are shooting.
That’s exactly how I use the tubes. Load them in shooting order and you can see at a glance which arrow is next, and how many you have left.
The arrows don’t rattle too much, and as I walk or even run, the arrows don’t fall out. I don’t need to hold the quiver tight; it’s really easy and stays put.
I don’t keep my phone in there or keys. It’s for range gear.
| What I bring | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Arrows | The three 16.5″ tubes (9–12 arrows per the listing), in the order I’ll shoot them |
| Gloves and a spare pair | The pockets |
| Arm guard | The pockets |
| Other accessories | The pockets |
| Phone and keys | Not in the quiver |
It’s kind of like an all-you-need bag, you know, like a bag that takes everything you need to the range.

SUNYA hip quiver pros and cons after 2 years
It’s been great. I got the green one, and my only real complaint is looks: I really wish it didn’t have a big logo. I don’t love logos on my gear.
NUSensei points out the one downside every hip quiver shares, whatever the logo:
The main disadvantage of a hip quiver is that the arrows stick out forwards… you have to be kind of careful with how you carry this quiver, and it might be a safety issue in some places.
Fair, and worth knowing before your first busy range day. Mind the arrows sticking out when you walk through a door or behind other archers on the line.
Love
- Pockets fit gloves, spares and an arm guard
- Three tubes keep arrows in shooting order
- Really easy, and it stays put
- Arrows stay in while walking or running
Bugs me
- Big logo (I prefer gear without one)
- Five arrows in one tube is a squeeze

Questions about SUNYA Archery
Quick answers about the SUNYA Archery Hip Quiver.
How many arrows does the SUNYA hip quiver hold?
The listing says 9–12 across its three tubes. A tube takes maybe five if you stuff it, but I wouldn’t.
Do the arrows fall out when you walk?
Not for me: walking or running, they stay put and I don’t need to hold the quiver.
What fits in the SUNYA quiver’s pockets?
Mine carries my gloves, a spare pair, small accessories and my arm guard. The listing also names a release, Allen keys, wax, a pencil and score cards.
How does the SUNYA quiver attach?
It rides on an adjustable nylon belt. For me, it’s really easy and stays put.
Is the SUNYA hip quiver left-handed?
The listing describes it as for right hand. If you shoot left-handed, check the options on Amazon before you order.
Would I buy the SUNYA hip quiver again?
Yes. Nothing’s broken on it yet, and I’d totally buy it again. If you shoot at a range or in your backyard and want one thing that carries your arrows and your small gear, this does the job.
If big logos bother you as much as they bother me, look at the photos of each color before you order.
Nothing’s broken on it yet. Yeah, I’d totally buy it again.
