Archery deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Black Friday is November 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday is November 30: here’s the beginner gear worth buying, with live stock from Amazon. A deal only counts if it fits you, so don’t buy a bow just because it’s cheap: take the bow quiz or see the starter kit first.
// Before you buy
What a real deal looks like for a beginner
The best Black Friday buys are the boring ones: gear you’ll wear out and buy again. The worst is a bow that’s cheap because it’s the wrong weight for you. Every product below says In stock at Amazon only when Amazon’s own data showed it in stock in the last day, and On sale at Amazon only when Amazon shows a saving on it. No prices here: they change by the hour, so check before you buy.
Worth buying on sale
- Arm guards, tabs, targets and field points: you’ll use them every session and buy them again.
- A bow at the draw weight and length that fit you, in the hand you draw with.
- Arrows in the spine your bow needs, cut to your draw length.
Not a deal
- A bow just because it’s cheap, or heavier than you can hold for three seconds.
- A kit for its arrows: bundled arrows are rarely matched to you.
- Anything a countdown timer is rushing you into: prices move all week, and through Cyber Monday.
I don’t recommend necessarily getting a bow online, to be honest, even though I have an affiliate link for a bunch of this stuff. I actually think that you should go to a shop and get it fitted properly.
// Bows
Bows worth buying if you know your size
A bow is only a deal when the draw weight and length fit you. Pick the weight first (the draw weight calculator gives you a number), then choose that option on Amazon: the price can differ between options.

A ready-to-hunt compound that adjusts from 5 to 50 lb and 12 to 27″ of draw, so it fits a teen or a smaller adult. From maker specs and owner reports, not my own shooting.

Adjusts from 25 to 50 lb and 19 to 29″: for a teen who could keep shooting it into adulthood. From maker specs and owner reports, not my own shooting.

The takedown most beginner lists start with. Start at 25–35 lb and buy heavier limbs later; the riser stays.

Limbs from 20 to 60 lb on one riser, and a stringer in the box. The XL suits long draws.

A full recurve kit with arrows, one of the few budget kits forum archers rate as a proper bow. Choose 62″ or longer for an adult.

The bow I shoot: quiet and accurate at 25 yards. A one-piece, though: for a true first bow I’d still pick a takedown.

A takedown longbow in 20 to 50 lb with a stringer in the box: the traditional look on a bow that packs down.

A real takedown recurve sized for kids, at a light 12 lb. This listing is right-handed; there’s a left-hand one too.

A light, ambidextrous bow set with arrows for a young kid’s first go at archery.
// Arrows & targets
Arrows and targets you’ll use up anyway
This is where a sale pays off: arrows get lost and targets wear out, so you’ll buy them again. Only buy arrows on sale when you know the spine your bow needs (the arrow spine finder helps).

A layered bag target that stops field points and pulls easily. Put a backstop behind it.

A cube target for field points, rated for arrows up to 450 fps, so it suits fast compounds and crossbows too.

A bigger, weatherproof bag: more room for misses while you learn, and it still works when you move up in weight.

A foam block for field points and broadheads, rated to 350 fps, with several sides to spread the wear.

Six fletched carbon arrows. A good buy only if your bow wants a 400 spine: a spine that doesn’t match flies badly.

Carbon shafts with a wood-grain finish, sold bare for building your own arrows in the spine your bow needs.

Aluminum arrows made for the Genesis bow that school archery programs use. A good refill for a kid who shoots one.

The point weight I shoot. Points bend and go missing with arrows: keep spares in the quiver pocket.

// Protection & small gear
The small gear every beginner needs
Cheap, used every session and almost never wrong to buy on sale. If you only buy one thing this week, make it the arm guard or the finger protection.

To check brace height and set a nocking point, the two settings that make a recurve quiet and accurate.

Protects your fingers and gives a cleaner release than bare skin. Pick your hand and size.

Rubber stops on the string around the arrow. I own a pair: an easy fix for sore fingers in the first months.

The safe way to string and unstring a recurve or longbow without twisting the limbs.

The quiver I’ve worn since August 2024: arrows at your side and a pocket for the rest of your kit.

A little every few sessions keeps the string from fraying.

Fletches three arrows at once, for the archer who has started building or repairing their own arrows.

For a compound archer only: a wrist-strap trigger release, the way most compounds are shot.
// Crossbows
Crossbow packages for the hunter on your list
I haven’t shot a crossbow, so these picks come from maker specs and owner reports, not my own shooting. Buy the package your state allows for hunting, and a target rated for its speed. More in the best crossbows.

A compact crossbow rated 405 fps, bundled with a case and three broadheads. From maker specs and owner reports, not my own shooting.

Rated 435 fps, with a crank cocking device, a let-down trigger to de-cock without shooting, and a 4×32 scope. From maker specs and owner reports, not my own shooting.

A compact 330 fps package with a dot sight, two arrows and a rope cocker, for a first crossbow. From maker specs and owner reports, not my own shooting.

Twelve 20″ practice bolts with field points. Check your crossbow’s required bolt length first. From maker specs and owner reports, not my own shooting.
// FAQ
Deal season questions
What people ask before they shop the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.
When is Black Friday 2026?
Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26). Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30, 2026.
When do the Black Friday archery deals start and end?
Amazon sets its own dates each year. In recent years its Black Friday sale started about a week before Black Friday and ran through Cyber Monday, so expect deals from around November 19–20 to November 30, 2026. This page checks Amazon’s stock all season.
Why don’t you show prices or how much is off?
Amazon prices change by the hour, so a number here would be wrong by the time you read it. A product is tagged “On sale at Amazon” only when Amazon’s own data, checked in the last day, shows a saving; click through to see today’s price.
Is Black Friday a good time to buy a first bow?
Only if you already know your draw weight and length. If you don’t, buy the small gear on sale and get fitted at a shop, or take the bow quiz for the weight and size that fit you.
What does “In stock at Amazon” mean?
Amazon’s own data showed the product in stock when this page last checked, within the last day. Products Amazon lists as out of stock drop off the page until they’re back.
